Prusa CORE One+ is a versatile 3D printer designed for both beginners and more demanding enthusiasts and professionals. It uses the proven CoreXY motion system, an enclosed build chamber, and a rigid steel frame to provide excellent stability and consistent print quality. Its 250 × 220 × 270 mm build volume makes it suitable for both larger models and efficient batch production of smaller parts.
Thanks to active chamber temperature control, the enclosure can reach up to 55°C, allowing the printer to work with a wide range of materials — from PLA and PETG to more demanding filaments such as ASA, ABS, PC, and Nylon. One of the key improvements in the CORE One+ is the automatically controlled chamber ventilation system, which adjusts airflow depending on the material being used. This eliminates the need to manually open or close the top vents.
The printer is equipped with the modern Nextruder featuring direct filament feeding and 360-degree part cooling, helping to achieve precise details and high-quality surface finishes. CORE One+ also offers automatic first-layer calibration, filament detection, and advanced technologies that support fast and accurate printing.
Compared with the original CORE One, the filament loading system has also been improved. The redesigned side filament sensor makes filament insertion easier, especially when working with flexible materials. A new spool holder with a bayonet-style mounting system further improves everyday usability and simplifies filament changes.
Despite its compact footprint, CORE One+ offers a build volume that is 30% larger than the MK4S, making it a great choice for both home workshops and small-scale production. Its modular design simplifies maintenance and future upgrades, while Prusa’s open approach allows for further customization and the use of additional accessories.
CORE One+ also retains extensive upgrade possibilities, and regular software updates help ensure that the printer remains capable and up to date for years to come.
### CORE One vs CORE One+ – Key Differences
CORE One+ is based on the same core platform as CORE One and retains its most important specifications, including the 250 × 220 × 270 mm build volume, CoreXY motion system, enclosed chamber with active temperature control up to 55°C, and the Nextruder.
The main difference is the automatic chamber ventilation system. With CORE One, the user needs to manually adjust the top ventilation depending on the material being printed, while CORE One+ handles this process automatically.
CORE One+ also features an improved side filament sensor and revised filament path, making filament loading easier and more convenient, particularly when using flexible materials.
Another improvement is the new spool holder with a bayonet-style mounting system, which makes attaching and removing the spool quicker and improves overall ease of use.
In terms of print quality, build volume, and core functionality, both printers are very similar. CORE One+ is primarily a more refined and user-friendly version of CORE One, with improvements focused on automation, filament handling, and everyday ergonomics.
