ROSA3D HIPS High Impact HT Natural White is a styrene-based material that works perfectly as a support material for ABS and ASA prints, but it can also be used on its own for lightweight, durable models that are easy to post-process. When printing complex geometries, parts with hard-to-reach supports, or models where a clean surface after support removal is important, HIPS gives you a major advantage. After printing, the supports can be dissolved in limonene to achieve a smooth surface.
WHY CHOOSE HIPS HIGH IMPACT HT?
- Achieve a clean surface after support removal. HIPS works very well with ABS- and ASA-type filaments. As a result, it can be used as a support material for more demanding models.
- Dissolve the supports instead of breaking them away. HIPS is soluble in limonene. After printing, simply immerse the model in the solvent to remove the support material without damaging the details.
- Print lightweight and durable parts. The material has low density and very good resistance to sudden impacts. It is ideal for applications where high impact strength and low weight are important.
- Matte print finish. Finished models have a matte surface that helps hide layer lines.
- Post-process your print with ease. HIPS prints can be drilled, sanded, and painted. The material handles post-processing well, giving you plenty of freedom when finishing the model.
APPLICATION:
HIPS High Impact HT is ideal for printing lightweight housings, cosplay elements, and mock-ups. It also works well as a support material for ABS and ASA.
COMPATIBILITY:
- Bambu Lab: use the Generic HIPS profile.
- Prusa: use the Generic HIPS profile.
- Set the nozzle temperature to 265°C.
- An enclosed chamber is required.
MORE THAN JUST A SUPPORT MATERIAL
ROSA 3D HIPS High Impact HT is a technical filament with a dual purpose. You can use it as a soluble support material for ABS and ASA, or as a standalone material for lightweight, matte prints that are easy to post-process.
