ROSA3D ABS Medical is a premium 3D printing material designed for advanced medical and technical applications. Made from ABS resin that meets biocompatibility requirements (USP Class VI and ISO 10993), it enables safe skin contact for up to 30 days and the production of parts with increased mechanical resistance.
The material is approved for food contact in accordance with EU 10/2011 and US FDA 21 CFR 181.32, while retaining the typical advantages of ABS: high durability, impact resistance, dimensional stability, and very strong interlayer adhesion, which reduces the risk of delamination in functional parts.
The filament is suitable for, among others, parts and housings for medical devices, components for pharmaceutical production lines, and elements for prosthetics and rehabilitation devices; however, it is not intended for body contact longer than 29 days, for implants (including temporary implants), for medical devices classified as risk class III under Regulation (EU) 2017/745, or for critical life-support components. It can be sterilized by gamma irradiation, electron beam (E-beam), ethylene oxide (EtO), and nitrogen dioxide (NO₂). For printing, an enclosed (preferably heated) chamber is recommended, and for Bambu Lab printers use the Generic ABS profile.
